Update, 27 March 2020

Key worker families and other identified children

Now that we know the level of demand for childcare, we want to minimise the frequency of social contact, thereby keeping everyone safer.

From Monday, all Dixons students in Bradford will be cared for at a single site, the Dixons Trinity Academy and Dixons Music Primary site on Trinity Road.  All our other sites in Bradford will close at the end of the day on Friday.

All families using this facility have been contacted individually.

For enquiries about childcare in Bradford, please email or call our Bradford hub at Dixons Trinity Academy on 01274 424350.  If your child is in immediate danger, call the police on 999 or social services on 01274 435600 (8:30am-5pm) or 01274 431010 at any other time.

We are expecting an announcement from the DFE on Monday 30 March regarding a free school meals scheme.  If this does not happen, we will launch our own arrangements.

Arrangements and contact information at both of our Leeds academies remain unchanged.

Students working at home

For general enquiries, please email the info@ address on your academy’s website.  This will be monitored throughout the day.

Stay safe and work hard!  The more learning done now will mean less catching up when we return.  Above all, we wish all our families good health and well-being at this challenging time.

Support agencies

Since last week’s update, we have added more information about foodbanks to the List of Support Agencies in the Bradford area.  The updated list can be found here.

With very best wishes,

Sir Nick Weller
