Esther is from Leeds and started her career in teaching in Hull as a year 6 teacher. She then worked across both Key stage one and two as a teacher and leader in Bradford, Hertfordshire and Halifax before moving back to Bradford 4 years ago. After working at Dixons Marchbank as a supply teacher, Esther welcomed the opportunity to stay at Dixons and she is passionate that every child deserves the best education possible regardless of ability, need or their start in life.
Prior to being a teacher, Esther had a career within a national animal charity, rescuing and rehabilitating horses. This included roles in management, training horses, providing training for adults and children, working with the media, both written publications and broadcasting, and fundraising.
Out of school, Esther lives with her husband and 3 dogs. She spends lots of time outside either walking the dogs or looking after and riding her horses. Esther is also a keen football fan and loves to watch matches with her brother.
