A pirate themed start to the term for Year 1

Our Year 1 students have had a swashbuckling start to the new academic year with a pirate-themed day of learning enjoying tales of Blackbeard the pirate and creating treasure chests.

This was followed by a visit to Laisterdyke library where they enjoyed pirate-themed stories and activities and our younger learners had the opportunity to find out how a library works.
