Celebrating the retirement of Sameera Khan
Posted 21st October 2025
This week, staff and students at Dixons Marchbank are celebrating the incredible career of Sameera Khan, Parental Involvement Worker, who is retiring after more than 24 years of dedicated service.
Sameera has made a lasting difference to countless families, running parent classes that led to employment, organising swimming and cooking sessions, and securing grants that transformed learning spaces.
Her energy, compassion, and commitment have shaped the strong, supportive Dixons Marchbank community we’re all proud of.
To mark the occasion, our School and College Trust Leader, Luke Sparkes, visited the academy to enjoy afternoon tea with Sameera, joined by current and former colleagues as well as parents, all coming together to celebrate her remarkable contribution. Below are some pictures of Sameera's celebration.
Thank you, Sameera, for your remarkable contribution. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!
