Improvement planning

Dixons Marchbank 2- to 5-year plan:

  1. Tailor the environment and adapting teaching to meet the needs of students with complex SEND in the EYFS.
  2. Inclusion: adopt a practice of inclusive teaching across the academy, scaffolding learning and resources to encourage independence and improve outcomes (EEF Moving Forwards, Making a Difference 2022).
  3. Staff structure / specialist teachers: move towards a model of specialist teaching in specific subjects.
  4. Change the focus of English teaching to embed basic skills across the academy in order to raise attainment at the end of KS2.
